Congratulations Brantley Gilbert, you are my first review. I did a simple search on MySpace to find who I was going to review first and to tell you the truth, I am so glad I stumbled upon Brantley Gilbert. Now I wasn't able to learn much about this guy from his MySpace page. I guess he just wanted to let the music speak for itself. The first thing I noticed while waiting on the music to load was the tour dates. This guy must be on the edge of stardom. He has bookings all the way through December. Some people may not understand how huge that is but that is HUGE! To be in a working band is a musicians dream. So congrats on that as well. Now to the musicThe first song I listened to was "My Kinda Party". This is that good ol' rocking country song that makes you want to get up and shake it a little bit. The lyrics to this song were great. I don't know who does the writing, but keep it up. I love this song but there are a couple things that I feel are missing. The song feels empty when it gets to the ...

Everlasting Life is the latest release from Gospel Music Star Kim Burrell, and I can only think of one word to describe it... AWESOME!The CD kicks off with a great track, I'll Keep Holding On, that I anticipate will be heard on radio stations everywhere, and deservedly so. It really is a very nice track. The nice thing about a CD like this is when the talent is this rich even if Gospel isn't your favorite style you still can't help but appreciate the greatness of the artist.Overall Everlasting Life is an outstanding release. Quite possibly Kim Burrell's best to date. Really spectacular from beginning to end. If you're even mildly into Gospel music you'll enjoy this album. My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore is track 9, It's Not Supposed To Be This Way. It wasn't long after I first fell in love with the Mount Shasta area that I discovered Sophia's Hidden Waters/ Sacred Ground CD. Her stunningly pure, sensuously hypnotic vocals carved a window into my heart, a window which remains open to this day. Sophia is able to put more heart and soul into her voice than all but a few singers I've ever heard. But more than just having technical chops, Sophia evokes the sublime passion of the Goddess. Listening to Sophia is like listening to an angel, one who is able to bridge the apparent divide between this world and that of pure, loving Spirit. Her entire discography, including Emergence, Return, Chakra Healing Chants and more, is well worth collecting. The musicians on Spirit Healing Chants are truly an amazing group of stars in their own right. Gifted singer-songwriter Michael Stillwater plays guitar and adds his inimitable voice to " Heart of the Mother/I am One," while Raphael contributes keyboards. Along the way, Fantuzzi gifts us with invocations and vocals on "Universal Lover," and Donnie Regalmuto offers keyboards, vocals, percussion and programming throughout. Additional artists contribute violin, bass, percussion, flutes, sax and more.Other chants on Spirit Healing Chants that Sophia ...

Soothing music can be quite beneficial to the body, mind and soul. Research has shown that soothing sounds alters brain waves, which causes a reaction within the body that leads to relaxation. This type of music can be used in many different ways and or for many different reasons. The benefits of this type of music are numerous. They range from helping people relax in tense situations to helping get rid of severe anxiety problems. It can be heard in elevators, stores, doctor's offices and even in labor and delivery rooms. One benefit of soothing music is that it helps people relax and relieves stress. The slow, calm beats of this music can bring about feelings of comfort. They help the heart rate slow and that leads to natural relaxation. Soothing sounds are used more and more in work environments where stress levels run high.Soothing music can also be used to help people in a situation where they are feeling intense fear or anxiety. Elevator music is a good example of this at work. You may have wondered why elevators have music. When elevator music was first introduced elevators were new and they were also quite noisy. People often had great fear ...

I can describe the latest release from Smooth Jazz sensation Boney James for you with just one word... Outstanding!Refreshingly, this was one of those CDs I was able to just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.Shine has a nicely varied, mix of 12 tracks that are very well put together by this clearly saxophone playing artist. The thing I enjoy about Boney James music is that it produces a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Seemingly drawing from what I can only imagine are his own real life experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions of love, and the pain of failed relationships can certainly be heard. That's some serious horn blowing.Boney James is one of those musicians that has the ability to just bowl you over with his talent. The kind of artist it's really a treat to be able to listen to.Listen and I think you'll agree that the song choices are excellent, the production is outstanding and of course James's sax playing is as always in top ...
